Viewfield House is set in 20 acres of woodland garden on the outskirts of Portree, ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye.
The old Gaelic name for Viewfield, is Goirtean na Creige – roughly translated as the green meadow under the rock. In our grounds, you will find Skye Shrubs and the Viewfield Garden Collective, and paths down to the village, and up to the hill behind.
After a day taking in the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing, or Neist Point and Dunvegan Castle, relax by the fire in the Drawing Room, a glass of whisky in hand, plotting the next day’s adventures: Talisker Beach? The Cuillins? The Fairy Pools? We are more than happy to help with recommendations.
